Use Facilities/Resources like student support/lecturer if you fall behind or need help (personal or other)

It's ok to ask for support if you find you’re feel falling behind, there are many resources for help around the college such as lecturers and the support base. The only way the college can help you to be a successful student is by asking for help in the first place. Things such as lecturers staying behind to give extra tuitions can then be arranged and you’ll be caught up with the work in no time. Even if situations outside college are getting too much, it would be wise to let the support base/your key lecturer know that there may be reasons as to why you’re not working to your best standards so that they can look out for you.

Plan Study Days Well

Prepare, Prepare, Prepare The key to passing assessments is to choose your study days carefully, when you have a few hours peace and no distractions. Don’t put too much on yourself to do at the one time as sometimes you can over study and your brain just turns to mush...which results in you learning nothing really.., best way to achieve this is to try having an hour doing some, a wee break and back to it and so on..  Take your time and relax...stress causes all sorts of problems. Just breathe...all will be ok! :D

Attendance by student and lecturer

Good attendance can be the key to your success Sometimes being absent can not be helped, but if you are absent for a period of time it can be hard to catch up with your coursework, which makes it harder for you to achieve your marks to pass the course. Sometimes the lecturers are absent and you feel at a loose end but use this time to either catch up on other course work or even have a look on the student server and recap on the presentations and handouts that have been provided for your use. Your lecturer will help you and your class catch up when they return but this can be quite stressful if you feel like you are falling behind too much. If you or the lecturers absence is causing you to really fall behind there is means of support which is covered in this blog.
